    of carved jade pendants was to bring the charms of the
    mythical creatures depicted to their wearers.  Also called a
    talisman,or amulet, such jade pendants would protect and
    bestow special blessings.  
    Virgin jade amulets inspire qualities we lack, express a wish,
    or show gratitude for talents given.  Wearing them was once
    (and can be again) a form of personal Alchemy. 
    Each carved jade pendant is unique, handcrafted, and can start

    The carved jade pendant at right depicts Kylin (the Chinese
    Unicorn) and the Phoenix, two of China's 4 Most Sacred
    Animals.  It is in a private collection of Chinese alchemy charms.
